Extended Life (POEL)
Key Features
- Built for high dirt loading applications
- Extended filter life and change out occurrences
- Fits standard P1, P2 housing
Overview
Dual‑gradient bag—meltblown depth core with felt outer—provides high dirt/trace‑oil holding, low dP, and fewer changeouts, while positive‑seal collars minimize bypass
How It Works
Fluid flows inside-to-outside through a basket-supported bag. The graded melt-blown core captures fine and coarse solids (and tramp oils), while the outer felt distributes flow and adds support.
Applications
- •Water and desalination pretreatment; general plant/process water
- •Chemicals, coatings/inks, coolants: clarification of high‑solids or high‑loading fluids
- •Pulp & paper, power, electronics, marine: utility liquids and final polishing
- •Data centers: TCS CDU filtration, FWS cooling tower, chilled water filtration
FAQs
- •
What makes the POEL Extended Life different from standard felt bags?
The POEL combines a graded meltblown core for fine particle and tramp oil capture with an outer felt layer for support, providing higher dirt-holding capacity and longer service life than single-layer bags.
- •
What sizes are available for POEL bags?
POEL bags are available in standard Size 1, Size 2, and Size 12 to fit common bag filter housings including Fil-Trek BMB, LP, SL, PL, and TL Series.
- •
Is the POEL suitable for oil removal applications?
Yes, the graded meltblown core captures both particulates and trace oils, making POEL ideal for applications with tramp oil contamination.
