Dual Flow Welded (DF)
Key Features
- Dual-cylinder; more area, lower face velocity
- Drop-in replacement for closed R-style tops
- Food and beverage compatible materials available
Overview
Dual-cylinder, welded-seam bag boosts area to lower dP and hold-up, with a positive-seal fit for standard baskets; choose PP or PE felt per chemistry, temperature, and compliance needs
How It Works
Inside-to-outside flow through a basket-supported bag. Dual Flow inner/outer cylinders split flow to increase area and lower face velocity/hold-up volume; depth felt captures particles.
Applications
- •Paints, coatings, inks: fines/gel removal and defect control
- •Chemicals, resins, adhesives: clarification and particulate control
- •Coolants, lubricants, parts‑wash fluids: solids/haze reduction
- •Water treatment and RO/UF pretreatment; general plant liquids
- •Food and beverage polishing (verify compliance)
FAQs
- •
What is the advantage of the DF Dual Flow design?
The DF uses dual concentric cylinders to double the filtration area compared to standard bags, resulting in lower face velocity, reduced pressure drop, and longer service life.
- •
Does the DF Dual Flow fit standard bag housings?
Yes, the DF is a drop-in replacement for standard R-style top housings in Size 1 and Size 2 configurations using Fil-Trek BMB, LP, SL, PL, and TL Series housings.

What media options are available for the DF Series?
The DF is available in polypropylene (up to 200°F) or polyester (up to 275°F) felt media in 1 to 75 micron nominal ratings.
