98 Series Automatic Strainers
Key Features
- Automatic, Motorized Self-Cleaning
- True turn-key design
- Lowest cost of ownership in the industry
Overview
Automatic, motorized self-cleaning strainers offering continuous removal of debris while maintaining full-time, uninterrupted flow. Offset inlet/outlet orientation, low pressure losses, and configurable controls allow the unit to adapt to changing process conditions.
How It Works
Unfiltered fluid enters the strainer through the inlet and flows into the centre of a wedge wire strainer basket.
Particulate collects on the screen as clean fluid passes through.
As differential pressure increases to the setpoint, the cleaning cycle initiates automatically.
An internal scraper (blades or brushes) rotates against the screen, removing buildup and directing it to the bottom sump.
A fast-acting blowdown valve opens to flush out collected solids; clean flow is uninterrupted during the cycle.
Clean fluid exits via the outlet toward the next process stage.
