Steam Traps
Thermodynamic, inverted bucket, and float & thermostatic steam traps. NPT and socket weld; cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel; sizes 1/2" to 2".
Steam Traps
Steam traps are self-contained automatic valves that discharge condensate, air, and other non-condensable gases from steam systems while preventing live steam loss. They maintain heat-transfer efficiency and protect equipment from water hammer and corrosion, improving energy performance and process reliability. Fil-Trek offers thermodynamic (TD, TDHC), inverted bucket (IB), and float & thermostatic (FT, FTHC, FTHP) types in NPT and socket weld, cast iron, cast steel, and stainless steel.
Applications
- Steam separators: Condensate removal from steam lines
- Heat exchangers: Heating coils, shell-and-tube
- Header drip legs: Main and branch drip applications
- Dehumidifiers, dryers: Process steam and condensate
- Autoclaves, sterilizers: High-pressure steam service
- Hot water heaters: Steam-to-water applications

Thermodynamic (TD)
Disc-type thermodynamic traps for high-pressure steam. Compact, durable, tight shutoff

Thermodynamic High Capacity (TDHC)
High-capacity thermodynamic traps for demanding steam application

Inverted Bucket (IB)
Inverted bucket traps for cyclic condensate. Freeze and water-hammer resistant

Float & Thermostatic (FT)
Float & thermostatic with air vent. Modulating discharge for coils and heat exchangers

Float & Thermostatic High Capacity (FTHC)
High-capacity float & thermostatic for heavy condensate. Large heat exchangers

Float & Thermostatic High Pressure (FTHP)
High-pressure float & thermostatic for autoclaves, sterilizers, and steam systems
