Gas Well Sand Filtration

 Gas Well Sand Filters

Gas well filtration involves the use of highly durable filtration equipment to remove sand and other solid particulate from an oil/gas stream to prevent erosion and damage of downstream equipment.  These industry specific filtration systems keep production running smoothly, prevent equipment from being damaged and lower maintenance and repair costs.  Fil-Trek's sand filters are designed to meet pressures of up to 10,000 PSI and are available ANSI 600, 900, 1500 and 2500 flange types.  Every housing can be manufactured to meet sour service requirements and can be configured into duplex systems and large system packages.

 Cyclone Series

Cyclone Series

Using Centrifugal force, sand and gas enters the Cyclone housing with high pressure and all solid particulate is pushed to the outside perimeter of the chamber. As the sand is collected and falls to the bottom of the housing for removal, all liquid gas/oil is forced upwards and is free of all large sand particulate.

The Cyclone housings are free of moving mechanical parts and is an advantage when looking to eliminate or lower maintenance/repair costs. These units can be used as a first stage filter to remove the largest solids and then later moves to a second stage filter to remove the remaining small solids.
